2008 Novice Show - July 6th
On the grass at the Fort Langley Lions Club Park. Located on 88th Ave., on the east side of Glover Rd.

The Novice Show is open to GVMA members in good standing. If you have a Mustang but you are not a GVMA member and would like to participate in our Novice Show you can join the club on site and enter your Mustang.

The Novice Show is a showcase for GVMA member's cars that have not won awards at other events. To be eligible to enter your car in this event, your car cannot have won a first, second or third place award at any car show in the previous three years while owned by the current owner or since you became a member. The purpose of the Novice Show is to give the newer members and the up and comers a chance to show their pride and joys off without having to compete against a car whose owner has had years to get it into perfect show condition.

The following photos were taken at the 2007 Novice Show held at the Fort Langley Lions Club Park. Unfortunately the weather was less that desirable, it was very wet and rained most of the morning. Fifteen Mustangs were registered for the show and 16 cars were on display.

Even if your pony has won countless awards in the past, and is one of the nicest show cars around, that's just all the more reason to bring it out and support this fun event . The fact that the long time GVMA members are so willing to support the newer members is why the GVMA is a fun and successful car club.

The GVMA's Novice Show was held for many years each August at The Domain De Chaberton Winery in Langley. In 2002 the Novice Show was moved to the Museum of Flight at the Langley Airport as we had out grown the space available at the Winery. In 2003 and 2004 the Novice Show was held at the Delta Heritage Airpark. In 2005 the Novice Show was held on the grass at the Lions Club Park on 88th Ave., Fort Langley. In 2006 the Novice Show was held at the Waterfront Park, North Vancouver. In 2007 the Novice Show returned to the Lions Club Park in Fort Langley.
